A dedicated lockdown control system providing clear voice and visual alerts to guide people quickly and calmly in an emergency. Built on trusted life-safety technology, these systems use resilient wireless communication for reliable performance. Pre-recorded messages support consistent instructions, reducing confusion and enabling faster response. Designed to strengthen safety planning in everyday public environments, our systems help you meet the latest UK safety and security standards.

⚠️ The Threat of Terrorism in the UK

The UK has five national threat levels:

  1. Low – an attack is unlikely

  2. Moderate – an attack is possible

  3. Substantial – an attack is likely

  4. Severe – an attack is highly likely

  5. Critical – an attack is imminent

Since 2019, the threat level has alternated between Substantial and Severe, highlighting the continued need for vigilance. Terrorism endures and evolves, making preparation and prevention essential for public safety.

📜 What is Martyn's Law?

Martyn's Law is named after Martyn Hett, a victim of the Manchester Arena attack in 2017. Introduced to strengthen public safety, it requires UK venues to:

  • Conduct terrorism risk assessments

  • Implement security plans

  • Establish emergency response procedures

Approximately 180,000 UK premises are expected to be in scope (UK Government, 2024).

🏛️ Key Principles of Martyn's Law

The law ensures that anywhere the public gathers has proportionate security measures in place, promoting a consistent security standard nationwide. All UK premises require:

  • Risk assessments carried out

  • Staff well-trained to respond in emergencies

  • Emergency procedures for evacuation, lockdown, or communication

  • Mitigation measures to reduce risks

This enables better protection and preparedness in the event of a terrorist incident.

Compliance starts April 2027.

👮 Is There a Regulator?

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) serves as the regulator for Martyn's Law, with responsibilities to:

  • Publish guidance to meet legislation

  • Ensure premises comply with requirements

  • Enforce legislation through compliance notices, monetary penalties, and restriction notices

🏫 Where Does Martyn's Law Apply?

Public venues where people gather, including:

Public Services – Hospitals, Community Centres, Town Halls, Museums, Sports Grounds, Places of Worship
Educational – Schools, Universities, Libraries
Hospitality & Leisure – Concerts, Theatres, Shopping Centres, Restaurants, Festivals, Stadiums, Theme Parks
